I love supervising therapists! I find this work very rewarding. Being a new therapist can be so anxiety provoking that finding a good, supportive supervisor is very important. This is not unlike finding a good fit with a therapist; you need to feel supported, safe, and appropriately challenged and guided. Engaging in supervision is not only required prior to licensure, it is an important tool for therapists to use in their ongoing development.
I have completed a thirty hour Approved Clinical Supervision program through the University of North Carolina Greensboro School of Education. This training is double that required by Washington State to be considered a clinical supervisor. You can find the Washington State requirements for an Approved Supervisor here. I also have multiple years of experience supervising within an agency setting, in both individual and group formats.
My current fees are 100$/hour for individual supervision, with a few spots open at a reduced rate. For individuals looking for their supervision to count toward Mental Health Counselor Licensure, Washington clearly states that supervision "means a meeting with an approved supervisor, involving one supervisor and no more than two licensure candidates." You can verify this information here. I do offer triadic (one supervisor, two licensure candidates) supervision at a rate of 50$ per session per individual. I encourage you to be wary of supervisors offering groups larger than two, as this is not following the requirements laid out in the Washington Administrative Code.
